Initiates and padawans have always (in my 5 months) been the bulk part of characters keeping the faction alive and approachable. Currently i see again initiates who start hitting the wall of “no master” found and start disappearing. To keep things enjoyable, there could be a status “apprentice” added, which would be equal to padawan, with the difference that padawan is more of a 1:1 mentorship - which in truth is not really the case even here anymore as many contributed to my padawans learning - the apprentices are trained by the entire enclave and have access to same things as padawans.
As for, its not lore accurate? Well, there is thousands of years uncovered without detail what happened, and things could have moved back and forth in that time, just like other topics, and currently the order is again in a situation where they may take on adults even outside Viscara enclave.
Plus, this is a online game, i know all this lore accuracy discussions from others server, like about “what a drow or elf should be like” - and on no server they are the same. It’s an online roleplay MULTI-player game, we want to have coplayers to play with and have fun with, even a supposedly “bad or lore inaccurate jedi” is more fun then no one at all.
While the part of pc padawan & pc master can be alot of fun, it should not be the wall where players hit against and get stuck and dont come back at some point. There should be a fair and rewarding chance of progress, unless they really do mess up things.
And if that is so hurting to the lore, then create a rogue light side Jedi faction, just like there is the revanites, which is also just something that “some game studio” created. And there is infact enclaves mentioned that do things different then the main order demands and still are Jedi (Corellian Jedi)
