Aedan Terallis - Bald Wookiee

Early Years

Aedan was born in 3983 BBY to Eliana and Rales Terallis, on Corellia. His initial upbringing wasn’t really anything special, as his parents treated him as any good parents would. It wasn’t the most luxurious life, but it was a life of care. His parents, however, were officers in the Republic Navy and, when he was 7 years old, they were called into service as the Mandalorian Wars began. His family, however, had always had good relations with the wookiees, and he was left with a caring family of one of the more well known clans on Kashyyyk, the Gkrur clan.

While the planet was under constant control of Czerka, his wookiee family lived in a far less populated section of the planet. Life wasn’t easy with that in mind, but his family supported him and taught him what he needed to know to survive. Such meant hunting, however, that occasionally led to ventures to the Shadowlands. Aedan only went a small handful of times, and he was always accompanied by skilled hunters, but ventures down there are definitely enough to leave an impression.

Recent Years

Aedan continued to live with the wookiees for many years. His parents never returned from the ongoing war, but he never really did know what happened to them. Likely that they had been killed, but he couldn’t know for sure. But while he still cared for his birth parents, it was the wookiees who raised him into the man he was now. The language, culture, and everything that came with it. Many even began calling him the “Bald” or “Hairless” Wookiee, which he held a certain pride in.

When he was about 19, though, he set off in search of his purpose in the galaxy. Of course he wished to see Czerka’s control over Kashyyyk gone, but he was also only one man. No way could he manage that. But he would still do what he could. A part of him also sought to find what happened to his birth parents, though as hard as he looked, there was very little he could actually find on them. But putting that aside, he wound up settling into general work as a freelancer. Odd jobs anywhere he could take them, though he still did try to retain his moral compass in doing so.

His work in freelance brought him all over the galaxy, seeing sights he never dreamed he would see. The sprawling cityscapes of Taris, the vast sands of Tatooine, the beautiful landscapes of Alderaan, and many more. He even found himself working jobs now and then for the Jedi. This was of particular interest to him after a certain event when he had realized for the first time what he could do.

A bit of frustration after a job, one day, he went to grab his cup of the table. It was then that he accidentally used the force, sending the cup flying across the room. Of course, it baffled the Hells out of him, but it didn’t exactly confuse him with the time he’d spend asking questions of the Jedi. But how was he going to try bringing that up? A question for a later day. He had better things to do, like making money to actually eat and survive.

The money was also needed for transport as Aedan was never really the best pilot. In fact, the one time he tried to fly a ship, he nearly crashed it into the docking pad before it had barely even gotten off the ground. He mostly resigned himself to just not flying a ship ever again, but he still kept areasonable interest for flying anyways in the back of his mind. But all-in-all, he really was barely getting by with what little credits he would make. It was time to try getting blaster to open up a bit more.

He had used a blaster plenty of times before, but didn’t exactly own one himself. But at the same time, he could hardly afford one, so he made the mistake of grabbing an old junk blaster. It wasn’t long after that he realized that was a pretty big mistake. The first time he tried using it for some practice, the internals rupture and it nearly took his head off. He lost his right eye in the process.

Following this, he wound up purchasing a cybernetic eye. He hated the idea of cybernetics, but he hated the idea of only seeing out of one eye even more. However, his luck would continue to remain low as, once again, he could hardly afford the one he bought and it turned out to be junk. Shorting out pretty frequently for no reason at all, and then magically just coming back on again.

Eventually, his travels finally brought him to the station CZ-220, where his story truly begins…
