Specifically the non-special ingredients you find on the station (Scrap, Mynock Meat, Destroyed Fiberplast, and Hide) should be sold from the vendor at a steep mark up (Around 10gp or something).
This is a symptom of the basic level recipes and their base levels, however, this would be a quick band aid fix as well as prevent swarming the new player area for materials to craft items we otherwise can’t with even Rank 1 maerials.
I have no intention to make those materials purchasable for the simple fact that it disincentivizes players to gather the resources on their own. Instead, I think adding a breakdown option to crafting to create level-0 components is a better approach. Read about that here: https://github.com/zunath/SWLOR_NWN/issues/604
I think this is a suitable solution, especially if higher rank items yielded more lower rank ones. This would especially help with Fiberplast.
