Currently, RP duels aren’t as common as mechanical PvP, but I and a couple other players make use of them pretty regularly. They can be fun, but it’s a bit boring for the characters to just stand there while we type out walls of flowery text.
This could be fixed by adding combat animations as emotes. Having text commands to allow us to take a combat stance and play attack animations without taking or dealing damage would go a long way toward presenting RP duels as a complete alternative to PvP rather than a compromise between two characters at incompatible power levels.
It could also be used in training RP, such as demonstrating moves or (in the case of the Sith) chastising students who aren’t giving their all.
