[Feedback/Suggestion] Unlink armour from weapon skills

To level your armour skill, you need to use it in combat, thats fine and works!

But its linked to your current weapon, and without leveling multiple types (Which shouldent really happen tbh) you cant level your armourskill past a fairly low amount!

I suggest un-linking it or changing it to level with a higher XP gain, so its not left at half if not less than your highest weapon level, or let it continue to gain XP based on mobs, rather than your weapon. But limit it to the highest weapon level you currently have

EG - Level 25 blaster, highest armour skill possible is 25, But if Onehanded = 40, then armour skill could = 40?

Totally agree here. Armor xp should be independant of weapon holding . i use a blaster dont get hit 300 xp but if i use my sword and get hit a few times i might get 5 or 25xp to heavy armor

The current breakdown is that 100% xp goes to the weapon, 20% of that xp is also given to the armour. If you’re using a shield then your xp is divided between weapon and shield (and presumably if you dual wield a vibro and lightsaber same would happen).

This means that you can only really get your armour to 20% of what your weapon is unless you level 5 weapons to max since armour has 100 levels too. I agree that leveling your armour should just get its own xp even if it continues to level 80% slower, so that when you level a weapon high level that your armour isn’t impossible to level.
