I reget to inform you that Officer Sajhad was shot and killed today. Eyewitnesses claim that a meeting on the observation deck with an unknown spacer was interrupted by a group of well-armed troopers of unknown affiliation. The spacer reportedly shot and killed one of the assailants before escaping. Unfortunately we we’re unable to apprehend any of the assailants or the spacer. The body of the downed trooper was taken by its fellows before they left, presumably to chase down the spacer. Forensics corroborate these reports. Please accept my sincerest condolences and apologies for the loss of your officer. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Report:
Civilian contractor ship C.S.S. Flipcard was marked as MIA after failing to make dropoff of relief supplies on Mirial. We were able to track down one of the crew, and at the cost of the life of one the midrim’s finest, we have obtained a report detailing why. During the course of the investigation, the MSF has found sufficient cause to consider hostile activity has taken place in the mid and outer rims against Republic assets from unknown assailants. Upon taking over the case, I traveled to Viscara. Czerka provided contact information for Starlancer as he is currently renting land from them. Traveled to said land and confronted Starlancer. Starlancer provided full cooperation. Prior to his ship going MIA, he has had a clean record and a good work history with the SWSO program. The information Starlancer provided is as follows:

1. C.S.S. Flipcard was stopped by a picket near Korriban while taking a “shortcut” from the Shaltin Tunnels to the Hadrian Way. Flipcard was captured and brought aboard unclassified ship who’s crew claimed to be Sith.
2. CPT Brask created distraction on the hangar deck resulting in the destruction of the C.S.S. Flipcard, and while under protest, remaining crew escaped on board commandeered republic transport also found captured and docked in the same bay.
3. Remaining crew made it back to Ossus where they ditched the transport and went their separate ways. It was the consensus of the most of the remaining crew that they wanted to wash their hands of the whole situation and considered it FM Rete’s responsibility to report the incident.
4. Starlancer was contacted later by OFF Sajhad of MSF and went to meet him at MStat3468 where he related most of this information before their meeting was interrupted by unknown troopers. These troopers matched the uniforms and armor type seen on board the alleged Sith ship that had originally captured the C.S.S. Flipcard.
5. “Wannabe” Sith are active on Viscara and there is at least one dead trooper wearing the same armor as those from the alleged Sith ship in the woods.
6. Mandalorians refusing to disarm are also active on Viscara. There are two separate groups. One in the same woods where the dead trooper was found, and the other across the valley where Starlancer’s compound is located.
7. Starlancer’s new crew (dubbed “The Shadowlancers”) has entered into an agreement with the second group’s leader, an indentured Cathar named Nor Pel, to provide oversight to the end of making sure they do not raise another army under threat of destruction of their base.

Starlancer was overall very talkative and pretty emphatic about his dislike for the mandalorians and the “wannabe sith”. His answers remained consistent and his body language suggested he was telling the truth as he saw it. My findings regarding his claims are as follows:

1. Unable to confirm capture of ship by unconfirmed threat. Unable to confirm identity of alleged captors. Spoke to SME on alternative trade routes and there does exist a “shortcut” between the Shaltin Tunnels that involves going near Korriban.
2. Several republic transports remain unaccounted for from wartime operations.
3. Checked with Ossus Port Authority. There was military grade transport with Republic Navy markings found abandoned. It has already been impounded and is awaiting pickup by fleet command. There is no report of this incident from FM Rete.
4. This is confirmed. See Jacen Starlancer Dossier linked above
5. During my short time on Viscara, I can personally attest to hearing Sith dogma spouted openly over the local holonet channels. Starlancer took us to the nearby forest and showed us the body of the trooper. I have not seen the armor type before myself, but have taken several holo recordings of the immediate site which can be found below. I am concerned that there appears to be a dead republic soldier alongside this trooper as well. Sent image of dead trooper to CO MStat 3468. Responds with confirmation from witnesses that this matches the armor worn by assailants during attack which resulted in death of OFF Sajhad of MSF.
6. Before leaving, inspected alleged Mandalorian sites. Found both compounds, but was unable to get inside.
7. Mandalorian Clan database does list the Pel clan as being participants in the Mandalorian war. Unable to confirm if they were present during Cathar massacre.

***Requesting this case be taken over by RFI to confirm and identify alleged threats to Republic security.
***Strongly advise official Republic or Jedi presence is needed in the system of Viscara to address trend of Sith emulation and Mandalorian disarmament.
