Born as the son of corellian “freetraders” or smugglers as most people would call them, much of Jaycen’s childhood was spent aboard his parents’ ship, never staying long in one place.
At the age of fourteen galactic standard years, a deal gone bad left his parents dead and him orphaned and stranded on Nar Shaddaa where he survived by putting his talent at engineering to use for anyone willing to pay, which more often than not included unsavory individuals like smugglers or swoop gang members.
This changed two years later, when a Jedi visited Nar Shaddaa and noticed that Jaycen was sensitive to the Force. He offered the boy to take him offworld to be presented to his masters for training. Eager to get away from the Smuggler’s Moon, Jaycen accepted his offer.
Though not as strong with the Force as some of his peers and despite his age, Jaycen was accepted to be trained and was selected as a Padawn three years later.
He was sent ahead of his master to Viscara, where he now awaits his master’s arrival. The lack of any news has him growing increasingly worried.
