So an idea to make the reconstructor more in line with the current equipment balance on the server.
What if it was made to work with gemstones exclusively?
So my idea would be take 4 gemstones of the same type, IE color. Red Cyan ect.
And you pick one of the bonuses from these four to upgrade into the next grade of gemstone.
This would be the function of spending the resource for the device.
Without spending the resource you should be able to downgrade a higher level gemstone into two lower level gemstones that give the same type of bonus.

I like the idea. It’s giving the reassembler a purpose without making it overly powerful.
