Description

This middle aged Echani may appear fairly typical for one of his kind, at least at first. But his white skin has an unnatural quality to it, even for an Echani, and his majestic silvery eyes stare forward, dead like, at times. Dead like someone who has seen too many terrible things in his life. Even so, his smile is gentle and demeanor ever welcoming. His voice holds more bass to it than treble and other Echani may notice his accent suggests he is of a lower caste, or was.

Force users may sense something troubling about him. Not so much a great disturbance nor a menacing manic, but something sad. Like a fraction of his soul has been torn from within.

Backstory

Born lower class and male in a matriarchal caste-based system of the Six Sisters, the youthful years of Niall weren’t very pleasant. Often retreating within, dwelling in the darkness of his own mind, he would redirect his energy into that of the arts. From paintings to poems, his work was seen as dark and troubling by most and romantic by few. But it was where he would escape the ever harsh realities of his position in life, the dread of his existence.

As he aged, he did as most of his caste and gender would do and entered into the servitude of his betters. Really, he didn’t have many other options. It was a simple life that imprisoned him. But it also lead him off world, where he began being introduced to new ideas and views, new cultures. Ideas of equality, freedoms unknown to him before, being seen by aliens as more than just low caste male.

Men in leadership roles, so odd yet it appealed to him. The desire for such freedoms, to break away from the chains society had placed upon him, he began studying other cultures in secret. Always a dream, a fantasy, of what the others have embraced and perceived as normal. Then one day he just did it. He walked out of that life which he had been thrusted into. Terrifying yet liberating, a sense of power he never felt before, he fled and in a way exiled himself. He left the matriarchy behind.

Not much more than a vagabond for a few years, fancying himself as a starving artist, he found himself working odd jobs just to get by. His struggle was often brutal, hunger often an issue, but it was all worth it to him. It was the price of freedom and opportunity. And little did he know, an opportunity beyond his imagination would come before him.

One evening Niall took a delivery job, delivering questionable packages to questionable people. One of which was a rather ominous, cult like, fellow who took some interest in the Echani. An invitation was given to Niall by this ominous fellow, the opportunity, an invitation to temple. Little did Niall know what he was in for.

A trial, entering this temple of darkness, of which many would fall. But those who rose to the challenges within would be empowered, they would have taken their first step on becoming Sith. This is where the story of Niall Odhran truly begins.
