Thinking on it, the force powers as they are presented is a bit odd. We have two different lines of advancement, Light and Darkside but that is weird from a cannonical standpoint.
So what I propose is changing them into three sets.
Control
Alteration
Sense
As for what to do with their statisics I will leave that upto the powers that be.
Control would have powers like
Self Healing, which is obviously healing for self.
Detoxify which would give you some form of restoration against poisons, stat damage, what have you.
Force speed, Movement speed boost, and at later levels AC increases
And Force stealth, some kind of stealth/concealment, possibly invisibily at later levels.
Sense would be things like
Battle Precognition, small, scaling concealment.
Force Sight, ability to see through Force Stealth.
Comprehend Speech, able to understand other languages (With effective levels in language going up as you put more ranks into it) at the cost of not gaining language xp well it is in use.
Alter
Alter would be probably the beefiest one because, alter is the biggest school of the force.
I would say the big ones would be.
Force Choke, six second stun (like force push) with a fortitude save.
Force Push, Six second stun (like force choke) With a reflex save.
Force Fear, make opponent run away for a short ammount of time.
Force Slow, slow an enemy and make them lose ac.
Force Weapon, give a non lightsaber melee weapon a damage boost. (Should be very useful for lowlevel people who have yet to get a lightsaber)
Mind Trick, six second daze effect with will save.
force Barrier, AC boost.
Heal Other, Like heal self but only for others.
This could also be expanded later, and numbers fine tuned/adjusted as needed.
As for the lightside/Darkside dichotomy, I don’t think it needs a mechanical effect, it seems like it is more fitting for a roleplay aspect.
this would also give a dedicated force user more need to spread out their limited skill levels.
