Blood seeped into his vision and the last visage he saw was the face of a grizzled bald man as he fell back. The young boy’s arms stretched out as he watched the ship’s hull close with a spark and the skies then coming into view and then blackness a few moments later….
Present time
Ryuken woke up with a gasp and scream. The three Viscaran temple Capybaras stirred awake, one orange fruit falling off Chilly’s head. The mirialan panted a moment and regained his bearings. He was the odd one that slept out in the cubby cave where the capybaras usually hung around. Ever since being a fresh new initiate, Ryuken was beginning to understand the sacrifices one has to take. The war raged on in the galaxy and the cozy farmer life was beginning to wear off. He watched his friends be cut up by sith, he himself also formed new scars day by day, he felt like his mind was starting to crack.
Ryuken stared up at the ceiling and let the waterfall behind him calm him down as the thoughts swirled. The capybaras sensing his distress nudged at both his sides and made cute little sounds. He let out a sigh and rubbed at one of capy’s ears before picking himself up on his feet then move out from the cave and coming out soaked when walking through the waterfall entrance. Chilly followed along the tired Ryuken and they came to a stop by the edge of the cliff overlooking a swampy area below. “Chilly, what am I doing?” the soft spoken mirialan said hoping to get some answer but only grunts from the critter. The half blind man sighed then sat down and dangled his legs over the edge. “It was just a nightmare, nothing to worry about.” he petted the concerned rodent who laid his head down on the man’s lap.
