Sentinel training regiment

The Sentinel is seen entering the Training room once the students have all gone to bed. Looking to the training Droids and entering the command prompt for all basic forms short of Juyo. Starting on Easy mode and slowly progressing through to hard. Taking a step back as the training droid moves to the center of the room, noting a guard moved into position enough to spot her training in case anything went wrong. She took a breath and nodded to herself, looking to the droid and spoke calmly “Begin Sentinel Training level one.”

The droid activated with training sabers, tuned very low so as to not actually harm students. Taking the neutral stance she ignited her own training saberstaff, the settings already lowered so as to not damage the droid. Then it came in. Starting slow at first, simple jabs, strikes, things she could easily parry and deflect with little more then Shii-Cho. Returning the strikes of her own to have it parry and block hers as well. Slowly, very slowly did it begin to up the challenge rating. Soon it was moving faster, forcing her to adapt to its speed, swapping to Makashi to move into feints, using the dancing as a way to evade the attacks that came faster.

So again did it ramp up its speed, the attacks coming faster, harder, while the blades themselves were turned down, they were already getting to the point receiving a blow could actually be fairly painful. Yet she did not hold back. Instead taking on the attack as she moved into Soresu, forcing the droid back as she struck with quick hard strikes, then suddenly shifting again as she suspected the programming would make it harder to keep up with her as she moved into Ataru, breaking the rhythm of forms she had been using, conserving her energy where possible she began chipping away at the droid, striking hard and fast, then moving from the range of the droids saber.

Sweat was beading down her face under the mask, the droid was getting faster, stronger, easily matching that of most Sith apprentices she had fought in the past. Making her keep her focus and strikes, taking a stinging blow to the side she grunted before coming back in using Jar’kai, far more skilled in this form she began pushing the droid back even further, forcing it onto the defensive. Her resolve firm as the droid again advanced, though this time into hard mode. The strongest she was allowed to take as an initiate. The droid moved with the speed of a very experienced Sith apprentice, struck just as hard. Swapping into Niman to allow her to be more fluid with her forms she continued the dance with the droid. Taking blows, delivering blows, this went on for more then an hour. The painful cracks when the training saber landed on her followed by a grunt would be heard many times, though the resounding ding came again and again of her striking back and landing blows. Though eventually the wounds became too much as she simply force leaped back and called out End program!

The droid instantly shut down and reset to the very easy default setting, her program once again gone as she deactivated the saberstaff, breathing hard she leaned on the wall for several moments to get her breath back. She could feel her body soaked in sweat, and no doubt covered in more then a dozen painful black and blue bruises. Taking one final breath she forced herself upright again and bowed her head in gratitude to the guard for keeping watch before making her way to the medical chambers, after all, nothing a soak in a kolto tank wouldn’t help. She would be fine and fit for duty by morning.

The crisis had passed, but the panic from the incident had not. Sara laid in a bed, having aided the Knight in his surgery. Doma was up and moving again, but seeing her when she was carried in, missing an arm and a leg. Walking up to the Droid she took a breath, punching in the programming command once more. This time though, it was hard from the beginning, she needed to get through this. To get through the panic, the frustration, the fear.

On came the droid, striking hard and fast as she jumped into Jar’kai. Her personal favored technique. She struck hard and fast, though her training saber did no real damage, it had been turned down to ensure she didn’t damage the droids of course. Activating a hover droid that shot very weak blaster shots, she amped up the training challenge, working to parry the shots at the same time as deflect the droids attacks. Her movements quick and determined. Playing out her fears and anxiety. A guard could not afford to panic, they had to be the stone wall when others were crumbling. Others leaned on them when shit got real. As it had today

I have not forgotten your words my mentor…“There will be time to panic privately when everyone is safe and has been treated, or when your dead.” she lunged forward again to take the droid off balance, shifting into Djem So, forcing the droid onto its heels as she began to overpower it, taking a shot to the shoulder which caused her to grunt. Swinging around she batted the blaster shot away to take a hit to the side with a pained grunt and lurch. She had truly felt that blow as she took a breath and refocused. Dipping back to Shii-cho she began a more defensive fight. Guarding, parrying, blocking, deflecting. Using the patience to find openings in their strikes and return them three fold.

She continued this for nearly three hours as she felt sweat under the mask and tunic. Pain from several serious bruises ached painfully as she moved to fight. She could feel her reactions starting to slow from the fighting, the pain starting to effect her ability to swing the blade. She held out for another twenty minutes before calling out “End Program!” The droids both immediately stopped and returned to their docks, though instead of heading to the already overpacked infirmary, she headed to the showers. Examining the deep black and purple bruises she quickly assured that nothing was broken or seriously damaged. She was thankfully just sore. Would have some nasty as hell bruises for a while. Though nothing that the Medical team needed to stress over while trying to calm themselves from the medical crisis.

After her shower she got into a set of clean robes, hood and mask and made back for her room, stopping briefly to check on Sara to hear he had left of his own accord. With a light sigh she bowed her head and turned to her room. There was nothing more she could do after all. Nothing more then hope that the next time there was a medical crisis, it didn’t come with loss as well.

// Training for Ataru based on guidance from her Master.

She walked into the room, lightsaber clipped to her belt as she walked to the training droid taking a very slow breath. She needed to work on her endurance. Ataru was not her specialized form but she was performing poorly in it compared to her personal training. Fighting in it was definitely harder then simply studying the form. Taking a breath she walked to the droid entering the Padawans rank command prompts, these were stronger then the initiate levels she was used to already, so she started it at level one.

Drawing her lightsaber she stepped into the center of the room as the droid came to life drawing its own saber as they both took stance. Taking a breath she came in. Her blade clashing with the droids who was faster now then before. Its own strikes harder, stinging more then before as she took a blow to the side getting a grunt of pain. It was still using a training saber for safety so while it couldn’t kill her, it could break a rib, or leave a hell of a bruise. She moved faster, careful though to not burn out her energy as she was advised. The battle quickly becoming faster and faster as the droids programming worked its way through the paces of ataru she began focusing to try and slow it down

Striking at the legs as a propeller she soon took the droid off its feet, nodding to herself as she leapt back, letting the droid rise before coming back in to work on the arms. Working carefully to conserve her energy rather then burn it out she focused her breathing, working to sense its attacks before they were made, though it wasn’t entirely practical, she kept up the attempt none the less. Hearing it activate level two she took another breath and pushed on. The droid striking harder, faster, more direct. It still amazed her how much skill could be programmed into these training droids yet thats all they were, training droids.

The droid moving through the paces faster and faster she focused instead only on keeping relaxed, not burning more energy then required and keeping her guard up. Pushing through the sensations of exhaustion starting to take hold. Till eventually a sharp crack caught her side which caused a cry of pain, stumbling back. The voice of the Temple guard who had as always been keeping a vigil could be heard firmly speaking briefly with a “End Program”, before looking back to her expectantly. No further words needed as she bowed her head, picking herself up and moving to the medical wing. A light scolding from the doctor about taking better care and she was into the Kolto tank after ensuring her rib was aligned properly for the night. Progress was painful.
