[Suggestion] Move Racin' Jim's Cantina to a better location

Most adventuring parties as per D&D cliche, generally meet in the dirty old bar in town. I believe if you were to move the cantina into a more central spot of Veles. There would be more groups meeting up there, and even more chance of just regular RP between non-adventure seeking sorts, a hub for people to congregate. Preferably near the gate out of town.

Another idea might be to add a relaxation modifier to the place. A small boost to HP regen and perhaps even FP regen?

I’m hesitant to give a regen boost because in past servers I’ve seen people just walk into the area and wait for the regen to happen. If we were to do something like that, I would want it to come from a player skill like something similar to an entertainer but that’s probably really far off from now.

I agree with moving the location though. But there’s been mention of leaving the cantina as the seedy location for rogue types and smugglers while the restaurant would be repurposed for what you’ve suggested.

What do you think about that?

Racing Jim’s could have a cooking station in it. Players bring cooking materials to cook there, or a dedicated cook can hang out there as well. Roleplay while fixing the meal.

Put the regen buff on to food.

I wouldn’t suggest having two hangouts in a already small portion of the server. Especially if one is generally going to have more players and characters visiting, than the other. Jaces idea of putting a cooking station in the cantina is neat, too.

Veles already has a problem with too much empty space. I get that it’s to make room for expansion, but if you push everyone toward the main gate you’ll barely see anyone further into the town. The apartments and the bank are already near the gate.

If anything I’d move it a bit further north, near the swoop bikes. We all know that’s going to be the biker hangout when we get to ride those around.

Pushing the cantina to another place, will only spread a already small pop. I would rather have a large group of people in a small area, rather than a thinned out group spread over an entire map.

The whole cantina area looks great.

But I agree. The external colony map is very big and empty, with points scattered. I would personally suggest the canteen near the exit of the colony. (Problems? Let’s go outside solving this…).

In addition to being used as a meeting point, it would add a roleplay function more easily. The current position of the canteen is hidden or in a place not-so-pratical to go and roleplay
