Tessek Ostrod: Mending wounds

Mood Music: Mellow

Injecting another kolto pack in the side his of chest, Tessek lets out a hiss of pain before it alleviates the pain.
Corbin, Corbin, Corbin. ‘What a mess’ he thought to himself just now able to walk straight after watching Corbin in blood rage beat the ever loving hell out of Kiki, Sohma and him, it was a good idea he called for help just before the fight broke out, saved the Sith three bodybags today. He moves out of the mountains finally reaching the wildlands, with new objective given to him by Lord Dormand. He peels off the main path for a second switching back into his normal gear. ‘How many masks am I going to have to wear for this gig.’ Too many already, A codename, a name while wearing the disguise and a couple of backups if needed…

He makes it to the community center, entering inside and walking down it’s empty halls for the moment.
No one, Makes sense I suppose. Everyone would be else where trying to find a way to get Callista back. Now to find those people and gather some more-

The sound of a child’s laughter could heard down the hall, was he losing his mind he swears that sounded like his-

Bzzt His comm lights up, maybe it was his imagination. A feminine voice calls out through the comm. ‘We’re move our entire encampment.’ His lips twist. ‘Ten-four’ He replies, slightly frustrated that it was this quick for a single Jedi not only to find their base but almost killed them in a temper tantrum of the century. ‘God damn it.’ *He mutters turning off his mic. ‘In future I’m making it protocol to scrub any ship when made or repaired by outsiders!’ Another laugh can be heard down the hall.

He stares down the hall slowly pulling out his blaster. He follows it or at least the sound, The feminine voice on the comms keeps talking, Tessek half listening. He reaches the first corner and stacks up next to it, taking in a deep breath he peaks around the corner finding nothing. He steps out into the hall glancing around and slowly walking ahead.

The feminine voice on the comms stops for a moment. Realizing this he looks down an unmutes for a moment. ‘Have you found that beacon?’ He says more paying attention to his surroundings. ‘No, I’m going to have the shit stripped.’ The comm chirps back at him. He opens a nearby door gazing into the recovery room finding nothing of interest he steps away and looks back down to his comm. ‘Roger, best of luck.’ His says tiredly, he looks back to the T intersection as a blur runs by.

He grits his teeth, charging around the corner, spotting the blur pass another corner. He tries to keep up with it until he reaches the living area of the community center. Scanning around he sees nothing, closing his eyes he tries to reach out with the force and finds… nothing. The old merc lets out a sigh looking around. ‘Center is a ghost town,’ He say trying to reassure himself. ‘They are all on Tatooine, I imagine.’ The comm chirps back once more, Tessek looks back to his comm. ‘Maybe…’ He turns off his mic once more, making a mental note to have push to talk as an option next time.

He stows away his pistol, slowly making his way to the door to leave. His mind strays to the Jedi kid the Sith kidnapped. He pondered what he would do if one of his children were- A chill runs down his spine, he turns back around too look at the living room entry way seeing a child’s face disappear behind it. Tessek rushes out the center and shuts the door behind him, leaning against it he lets out a heavy sigh. I’m losing my mind out here.

Mood Music: Outlaws oath

Sitting in the refuge, Tessek was idly listening to Zvadras and Vilnia talk. He was about let out another sigh and was about to pull out the third cig for the day. ‘Suppose these things could kill me before I say anything.’ He thought to himself and chuckles. Before he pulls out another he hears the soft laughter of a child near the front door. Locked in place he stares at the door for a moment before letting out a soft sigh. ‘Need some fresh air to think, I’ll be back.’ Tessek says, standing from the couch he walks to the door and steps outside.

It was a cold night on Mon Cala, you could see most of the galaxy from here and it would be a sight behold but Tessek had his mind on other things. Looking around he spots a small shape near the beach side. As he walks towards it, it starts to fade into dust being carried on the wind. Tessek picks up his pace but before he can reach it and fully see what it is, it’s dissipates just dust in the wind with only the soft laughter of a child flowing away from him.

Gripping his fists he falls to his knees as time finally catches up to him, everything, all he has lost and all he will never regain. Tears run down his cheek as he pulls up his hands to cover his face, screaming into the void as the sobbing becomes stronger. ‘God damn it why!?’ He grabs a nearby rock and chucks into the sea. His sobbing continues, ‘Why me, why my kids…’ Breathing slows down and the sobbing finds a soft end, what was sadness and frustration is now left with the numb feeling of being alone.

Like a rock on ones heart all he can do is idly stare at the ocean as the waves quietly crash into the beach. ‘Saul…’ The name starts to ring in the void… Revenge, Tessek didn’t want to admit it but he had hoped at the end of it all he would see his family again, a lovely lie to keep him moving. As the name bounces around he feels the familiar feeling of rage grab him from the void and drag him back to life. He pushes off the ground grabbing a rock as he starts to rise to his feet.

His lip twists as frustration builds so he starts to skipping rocks, knowing now his rage can’t consume him anymore or else he will turn into Kiki… But to give a reason to move forward to have a fire under his feet, to live, to avenge and speak for the dead. ‘Dust all round me, rust breaking down…’ He starts to hum letting his rage simmer but not taking him over. Plans start rushing through his head, he’ll play by the Jedi and Republic for now to reach his goal, keep his cards close to his chest. The spies work never ends, nor the game known as life, he’ll have to build trust again something he is okay with doing.

Tessek can hear the soft footsteps approaching behind him, he wipes away his tears. ‘Trust the road before me, life’s a bettin’ man."
