War had been waged on the Temple grounds, Malaks attack having struck hard and heavy. Several Temple guards lay dead among their numbers as the pyres were constructed by Master Atris, the Temple Guard and River (possibly others I did not see take part). The pyres were lit as The Sentinel stepped out, fresh from the Kolto tank though many would argue she was anything but fully recovered. Standing beside her was Zalea, who stepped up to aid the exhausted Sentinel as she worked, ensuring the bodies all burned properly.
They spoke softly as they worked, discussing the force, death and even the Mantra of the Jedi. The Sentinel using the conversation to distract from her complete exhaustion. Her duty was here, she could sleep much later. Hours passed as hundreds of bodies were slowly burned as they worked. Slowly together they moved the bodies as needed, shifting them and ensuring the flames never extinguished. It would take the full night before all the bodies were finally sent to their final rest, protected against those who would dishonor the dead and the fallen and seen to peace at last. The last words spoken as the last ember died.
There is no death, there is the Force…
